Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare has laid off 72 employees due to less revenue than anticipated in 2019, hospital officials told TV station WWMT.
Bronson attributed the financial struggles to hospital challenges such as more people moving to Medicare from other health plans and an increased share of patients with high-deductible health plans.
The TV station did not report the positions affected by the layoffs. However, hospital officials said those affected could be rehired for other available positions within the organization.
