Bogalusa (La.) Medical Center, part of Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University Health, is laying off 45 employees, according to a Daily News report.
The cuts stem from a budget reduction of $152 million across the LSU system. The hospital is cutting 87 positions in total, 42 of which were vacant. Those employees were notified this week, and their last day of work will be Jan. 21.
