Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore has entered into a unique agreement with Pepsi Co. to provide cardiac and complex joint surgeries for the company's roughly 250,000 employees and families for a bundled fee, according to a Baltimore Sun report.
Under the agreement, Johns Hopkins will perform the surgeries for a single, bundled fee, which was not disclosed. Pepsi Co. will encourage employees to participate in the program by covering the co-insurance and deductibles for the procedures. It marks Johns Hopkins' first bundled deal directly with an employer.
The deal follows one announced last year by Lowe's and the Cleveland Clinic for cardiac surgery, according to the report.
