CMS is saying goodbye to CMO Kate Goodrich, MD, in February as she moves on to a new role at Humana.
Politico first reported the move. Dr. Goodrich will be a senior vice president at Humana, responsible for data and analytics related to improving patient outcomes, cutting out unnecessary spending and alleviating administrative burden on clinicians, according to Politico.
At CMS, Dr. Goodrich was also director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality and director of the Quality Measurement and Value-Based Incentives Group. She led MACRA implementation and oversaw quality measurement, public reporting and value-based incentive programs, among other responsibilities.
