Birmingham, Ala.-based HealthSouth Corp., a provider of post-acute healthcare services, selected Nancy M. Schlichting to serve as an independent director on its board.

1. Ms. Schlichting most recently served as president and CEO of Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System, a role she held until December 2016.
2. She previously served as president of the eastern region of Denver-based Catholic Health Initiatives.
3. She currently serves on the board of Walgreens Boots Alliance and Hill-Rom Holdings.
4. With the addition of Ms. Schlichting, HealthSouth's board now includes 11 directors.
