Nurses from MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas have ratified a new 3.5-year collective bargaining agreement that includes pay increases ranging from 9 to 19 percent over that time period, according to National Nurses United, the union representing the nurses.
The agreement affects approximately 450 registered nurses at MountainView Hospital, which is operated by HCA. In addition to pay increases, the agreement creates a committee to examine staffing needs, another committee to focus on patient care issues and provisions for safe patient handling.
