HCA Midwest Health, a division of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, will cross state lines when it transitions to its new headquarters this summer, according to The Kansas City Star.
HCA Midwest Health will transition its headquarters from Kansas City, Mo., to Overland Park, Kan., after the nine-hospital system received an undisclosed tax incentive package from Kansas, according to the report.
A spokesperson for the Kansas Department of Commerce said the agency could not release information on the proposed tax incentive package because the contracts have not been finalized, which will take at least 90 days, the report states.
HCA Midwest Health President Maurice L. Lagarde III said the organization will relocate its roughly 70 employees this summer and invest $10.8 million in its new headquarters.
