Chuck S. Lauer is one of the great leaders in our arena. He is a terrific family man, great hockey player and athlete, brilliant thinker, inspiring mentor, remarkable salesperson and a great friend.
This week, Chuck and his wife Maggie will travel to Annapolis, Md., with his son Randy, Randy's wife Wendy and 22 other people to see his grandson, aptly named Chuck Lauer, graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy. What a proud, proud week.
Chuck is one of six siblings, and prior to the Naval Academy, he attended St. John's Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, Wis. Chuck, like his patriotic father Randy, will join the U.S. Marines after completing graduation.
Chuck S. Lauer served in the United States Army as a corporal during the Korean War. He has a remarkable degree of patriotism for our country, as you can tell from reading columns such as this one, which he penned earlier this month.
I give warm regards to Chuck and his family, congratulations to his grandson upon his graduation and countless thanks for their service.
