Fred Sharf, an avid art collector who donated to many hospitals, died Monday at 83, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
Mr. Sharf was a donor to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital, both based in Boston. With his wife, he donated $1 million to the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based senior care system MorseLife Health System.
An avid art collector, Mr. Sharf exhibited some of his art at Brigham and Women's, Boston Children's Hospital, New York City-based Mount Sinai Hospital and MorseLife.
Mr. Sharf ran a sports management and marketing agency and is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren.
