"Dr. Murphy will be missed by the many who worked with him, and his imprint on our community will be felt for generations to come," said current Carilion Clinic President and CEO Nancy Howell Agee and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine President and Founding Dean Cynda A. Johnson, in a statement.
