Utica, N.Y.-based Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare has eliminated 37 jobs, according to an Observer-Dispatch report.
The system laid off 10 employees and trimmed 27 vacant positions, according to the report. The cuts affected full- and part-time positions in clinical and non-clinical areas, including supervisory and non-supervisory jobs.
The system previously laid off 24 employees and cut 28 positions nearly two years ago. It is currently pursuing a partnership with St. Elizabeth Medical Center, also in Utica, but a spokesperson said there is no connection between the affiliation and workforce reduction, according to the report.
