FaithSearch Partners sets itself apart as an executive search firm focusing exclusively on faith-based organizations.
Founded in 2007, the Houston-based firm offers a wide array of services, from CEO searches to senior director level searches. About half of the firm's searches are for independent hospitals, large academic medical centers and integrated healthcare systems. FaithSearch Partners also serves the complete spectrum of faith-based educational organizations, including preparatory academies, small colleges and large universities.
"The firm is looking for candidates who do have a passion for the ministry of the organization they're applying for," says Senior Vice President Scott Kuhlman, who works directly with the firm's post-acute/long-term care clients in the executive search process.
Here are five things to know about the firm.
1. FaithSearch Partners was founded by Ed Fry. Prior to FaithSearch Partners, Mr. Fry, who serves as the firm's president, successfully managed more than 200 searches for hospital CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CMOs and CNOs, as well as other senior level positions.
2. Since its first search in 2007, FaithSearch Partners has tithed or set aside 10 percent of its professional fees at the conclusion of each successful search engagement. The money is donated to a ministry or charity that is directly impacted by that client. For instance, the firm recently completed two searches for Community Hospital Corp. in Plano, Texas, and 10 percent of their fee went to the Salvation Army.
3. In 2015 alone, the firm has done nearly 30 searches. The hospital's clients include St. Louis-based Ascension Health, Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System and Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives.
4. The firm also does international searches. Most recently, the firm placed a CEO at Andrews Memorial Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.
5. Scott Becker, publisher of Becker's Hospital Review, said of FaithSearch Partners, "We are always excited to find and learn more about fascinating companies who are both doing excellent work and making a difference in their communities. We also applaud companies and people who really work to find a niche that they can excel in and love."
