Elmhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare has alerted the state that it plans to lay off approximately 100 employees as it closes some services, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
Elmhurst Memorial officials announced last month that it would be closing its 19-bed inpatient behavioral health unit and 38-bed transitional care center to convert the space into a senior care center. The recently announced layoffs are a result of the service closures, though some employees may be kept on board, according to the report.
