A new digital community is booting up and aims to be a launching pad for women in the healthcare industry.
IDEAL for Healthcare — which stands for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Alliance in Leadership — formed the platform to encourage people to elevate one another and accelerate progress for women in the healthcare industry, according to a Jan. 20 news release shared with Becker's.
A paid membership is required to access the community, which goes live Feb. 1. Members will have access to an online forum, counseling groups and networking events.
IDEAL for Healthcare was founded by Kristen Duell, who currently serves as the chief marketing officer for Tampa, Fla.-based software company Home Care Pulse.
"The idea for this organization started in a room full of powerful and amazing women who all agreed that we will no longer be quiet to the lack of representation on stage and in the boardroom," Ms. Duell said in the release.
