Demand for Healthcare Workers Dips in October

The demand for healthcare practitioners and technical workers dropped in October, with 25,000 fewer online job postings during the month compared to September, according to a report by The Conference Board.

In October, 506,600 vacancies for healthcare practitioners and technical workers were posted online. A decrease in the number of advertised vacancies for registered nurses and family and general practitioners was largely responsible for the drop, according the the report.

The report also found that healthcare job seekers outnumbered the number of advertised positions by 2.6 to 1.
