CEO tenures at US News' top children's hospitals

U.S. News & World Report featured 10 Honor Roll hospitals in its 2024-25 Best Children's Hospitals rankings. Most of these hospital CEOs have been at the helm since 2015.

The average tenure for healthcare CEOs is 7.6 years, according to a Crist Kolder Associates report.

Here are the 10 Honor Roll hospitals, listed alphabetically, and their leaders:

Boston Children's Hospital: Kevin Churchwell, MD, was appointed CEO in 2021.

Children's Hospital Colorado (Aurora): Jena Hausmann was named CEO in 2015.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles: Paul Viviano has been president and CEO since 2015.

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia: Madeline Bell, BSN, was named president and CEO in 2015.

Children's National Hospital (Washington, D.C.): Michelle Riley-Brown has served as president and CEO since 2023.

Cincinnati Children's: Steve Davis, MD, was named CEO in 2021.

Nationwide Children's Hospital (Columbus, Ohio): Timothy Robinson has served as CEO since 2019.

Rady Children's Hospital (San Diego): Patrick Frias, MD, was appointed president and CEO in 2019.

Seattle Children's Hospital: Jeff Sperring, MD, was named CEO in 2015.

Texas Children's Hospital (Houston): Debra Sukin, PhD, became CEO on Oct. 5.
