Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston Trims 15 Jobs

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is planning to eliminate roughly 15 jobs due to a drop in patient volume for certain services, according to a Boston Globe report.

The cuts affect hospital nurses and some support staff. A hospital spokesperson said there could be more than 15 reductions, but it is also considering early retirements and managing vacancies.

Beth Israel Deaconess has roughly 9,000 employees.
