HHS Secretary Alex Azar is visiting Brazil Oct. 1-2 to discuss the U.S.-Brazil collaboration on global health security and Argentina Oct. 3-5 to represent the U.S. at the G20 Health Ministerial Meeting.
Mr. Azar plans to learn about Zika and microcephaly from Brazilian families; meet with health officials, hospital staff and providers; and speak at the São Paulo Research Foundation about healthcare innovation. Mr. Azar will also assist authorities on programs for Venezuelan migrants.
After Brazil, Mr. Azar will travel to Argentina for the G20 Health Ministerial Meeting. This is the second G20 Health Ministers meeting, and it will focus on the future of work, infrastructure and development, and a sustainable food future.
