HHS Secretary Alex Azar told crowds in Nashville, Tenn., he believes "Medicare for All" would repeat the mistakes of the ACA, according to a report from The Hill.
The single-payer system "won't resemble Medicare at all," he said. "The main thrust of Medicare for All is giving you a new government plan and taking away your other choices," Mr. Azar said.
The Democratic movement to create a public option is starting to gain traction on both sides of the aisle, however. An August Reuters Poll found 85 percent of Democrats and 52 percent of Republicans support the idea.
