The American Hospital Association has selected 36 healthcare leaders for a 12-month fellowship program aimed at addressing critical issues related to healthcare costs, quality and safety.
Participants in the Next Generation Leaders Fellowship will be paired with executive-level mentors and will spend the year working on capstone projects designed to tackle a major challenge at their organizations, AHA said July 25.
This year's fellows come from hospitals and health systems across 21 states, representing various healthcare domains, including quality, operations, market intelligence and business development.
The group includes leaders from Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai and Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare, among other systems.
