The eight hospitals within Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital Health System have instituted complete smoking and tobacco bans, effective today.
The eight hospitals within the system that are now smoke- and tobacco-free are Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, Athens-Limestone Hospital, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Helen Keller Hospital, Lawrence Medical Center, Parkway Medical Center and Red Bay Hospital.
The policy applies to all Huntsville employees, including physicians, patients, staff and visitors, and extends to all buildings and parking decks that are owned or leased by the system.
