Ocala, Fla.-based Marion County Hospital District has selected six candidates to interview for the position of executive director, according to an Ocala Star-Banner report.

1. The six candidates were chosen from an applicant pool of nearly 50.
2. The six candidates are:
- Steve Christoff, executive director at Physician Health Partners, a for-profit subsidiary of Munroe Regional Medical Center (Ocala)
- Patrick Gilman, a MassMutual Financial Group financial adviser (Ocala)
- John Meyers, CFO and director of business and community relations for the Florida Department of Health in Seminole County
- Paul Quin, founder of nonprofit consulting firm P.J. Quin & Associates (Burnsville, Minn.)
- Joan Stearns, former College of Central Florida vice president of institutional advancement and CEO of the College of Central Florida Foundation (Ocala)
- Erica Thrash-Sall, community health lead at St. John Providence Health System (Warren, Mich.)
3. According to the report, Marion County Hospital District hopes to interview the candidates in the first half of February.
