5 words to ban from your organization's values statement

Nearly every company has an established list of core values, but many of these organizations utilize such similar language that they fail to express what makes their organization unique, according to Denise Lee Yohn in an op-ed for the Harvard Business Review.

Ms. Yohn is an author and leading brand consultant.  Here are five words she says companies should ban from their values statements due to their obviousness and redundancy among other companies.

  1. Ethical
  2. Teamwork
  3. Authentic
  4. Fun
  5. Customer-oriented
