17-year-old brain cancer survivor raises $1M+ for pediatric charities

Seventeen-year-old Cole Eicher fought brain cancer when he was 12. Now in remission, Cole oversees a nonprofit that has raised $1 million for cancer research, according to Fox 13.

Four years ago, Cole started the nonprofit Gold Together to raise money for pediatric cancer patients.

"I really wanted to help the cause and just fight back against pediatric cancer," Cole told Fox 13.

Cole raises the money by speaking at community events and encouraging people to donate. Through these arrangements, Cole has raised more than $1 million, which he donated to aid in cancer research, awareness and support.

"My mission is to do the greatest amount of good in the least amount of time for the greatest amount of kids," Cole told Fox 13.

The Gold Together Relay for Life Team is now a nationally recognized program and will have a team across every state in the U.S.
