Greenville, N.C.-based University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina has named David Herman, MD, president, according to a news release.
Dr. Herman currently serves as medical director of the Mayo Clinic Affiliated Practice Network. At the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic he also serves as director of the Employee and Community Health Program, a consultant in ophthalmology and a professor of ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
Dr. Herman will head UHS' integration efforts in his new role.
