Jeff Rooney Hired as Interim CFO of Ohio's MetroHealth

MetroHealth System, based in Cleveland, has hired a consultant to serve as interim CFO while the health system searches for a permanent replacement, according to a Plain Dealer report.

Jeff Rooney, a consultant who has previously served in executive roles with other healthcare providers, replaces former MetroHealth CFO Sharon Kelley, who resigned in June for personal reasons. Mr. Rooney is the second consultant who has been contracted to work for the health system on an interim basis. Stephany Neel, who works for Kohler Healthcare Consulting, currently works as the interim controller.

CEO Mark Moran stated a nationwide search for a full-time CFO will not start for at least another six months, according to the report.
