Sharon Kelley, former CFO of Cleveland-based MetroHealth System, is still on the system's payroll with full pay and benefits guaranteed for up to one year despite having resigned in June, according to a Plain Dealer report.
Ms. Kelley resigned as CFO to work as a consultant for the system. However, MetroHealth will continue to pay her a $440,000 yearly salary for at least six months and will pay her for an additional six months if she does not find another job before then. She will continue to receive health, dental, vision and life insurance, vacation pay and contributions to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System. The health system will also pay Ms. Kelley $6,000 in place of outplacement services.
The combined value of Ms. Kelley's salary and benefits would be $517,878 for a full year, according to MetroHealth.
