Gary E. Bie has been named CFO of Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital, according to a SBUH news release.
Mr. Bie's tenure is effective mid-February. He will replace Dennis Mitchell, who will take on the new role of business development officer at SBUH.
Most recently, Mr. Bie served as executive vice president for finance at Nassau Health Care Corp. in East Meadow, N.Y. NHCC is the parent company of the 530-bed Nassau University Medical Center, also in East Meadow.
