After Highmark acquired West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh, it was announced that Christopher Olivia, MD, president and CEO of WPAHS, will step down from his role, effective immediately, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette news report.
Dianne Dismukes, who was appointed to lead as executive vice president for hospital operations at WPAHS last month, was chosen to replace Dr. Olivia on an interim basis. Meanwhile, Dr. Olivia will work as a consultant for Highmark.
