Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento has chosen Carrie Owen Plietz to serve as the hospital's CEO, according to a Sacramento Business Journal news report.
Ms. Owen Plietz has been COO of the hospital since earlier this year. She will replace current CEO Tom Gagen, who has served at the helm of Sutter Medical Center for the last 10 years. Mr. Gagen's retirement is effective next February.
