Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System is planning a $5 million expansion of its WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta to add equipment for neurovascular treatment, according to an Atlanta Business Chronicle report.
The hospital will add a neuro-interventional bi-plane angiography suite; bi-plane angiography will be used for diagnostic examinations and neurovascular interventions.
WellStar will apply for a certificate of need from the state. Barring any delays, WellStar expects to complete the expansion project by December 2013, according to the report.
