UK HealthCare, Appalachian Regional to Expand Cardiology Services

Lexington-based University of Kentucky HealthCare and Lexington-based Appalachian Regional Healthcare will partner to create extension services with UK's Lexington-based Gill Heart Institute, according to an article from The Lane Report.

UK Healthcare and ARH will jointly manage cardiovascular care at five ARH hospitals throughout Kentucky's Appalachian region.

In addition, a few ARH physicians will move to the Gill Heart Institute to begin providing advanced treatment options in the region. The physicians will also become faculty members of the UK College of Medicine, according to the report.
