Brentwood, Tenn.-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners announced its affiliate Ottumwa (Iowa) Regional Health Center is taking over management and ownership of McCreery Cancer Center from Iowa City-based University of Iowa Health Care.
The McCreery Cancer Center, which provides radiation oncology services, is located on the campus of Ottumwa Regional Health Center and is an off-site clinic of UI Health Care.
UI Health Care is transitioning ownership and management of the center to improve coordination of care for cancer patients, according to the release. The transition is expected to be completed by Sept. 1.
UI Health Care also plans to transition the management of two other off-site clinics in Lowden and Belle Plaine, Iowa, and close a clinic, according to the release.
