St. Luke's Fountain Hill Expands Rehabilitation Center

Fountain Hill, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Hospital has doubled the size of its acute rehabilitation center, according to a report from the Leigh Valley Express Times.

The rehabilitation center, which helps patients recover skills after trauma treatment, has added 15 new beds and now has a total of 31 beds. The expansion means that St. Luke's has enough room to start the rehabilitation process for all of its trauma patients as well as to accept patients from other area hospitals.

St. Luke's has also added 24 nurses and 17 therapy staff as a result of the expansion, according to the report.
