Greenville, S.C.-based Bon Secours St. Francis Health System has opened a new breast health center after three years of planning, according to a Greenville Online report.
The approximately $3 million Pearlie Harris Center for Breast Health offers full-field digital mammography, computer-aided detection and ultrasound. The center was built to serve a volume of patients that has nearly tripled in three years from 8,000 patients a year to 22,000, according to the report.
The 7,600-square-foot center expanded an existing building that had less than 2,000 square feet of space and incorporated patient input in its design.
