Seattle Children's to Open First Cancer Center for Teens, Young Adults

Seattle Children's has announced the opening of the nation's first cancer center dedicated to caring for patients aged 15 to 29.

Opening Sunday, the 16-bed center will be located on the top floor of Seattle Children's new Building Hope facility.

The center is designed to allow patients to benefit from the support of their peers, and will feature specialized psychological support programs for the young patients. The hospital's existing Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program will move to the new center.
