Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., announced it is taking over cancer support services from Salisbury-based Cancer Support Community-Delmarva, which is closing.
Cancer Support Community-Delmarva provided cancer patients individual and group counseling, among other services. The facility is closing due to financial difficulties, according to a Delmarva Now report.
CSC will transition services to Peninsula Regional Medical Center's Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute effective Aug. 29. Peninsula Regional Medical Center will provide current CSC patients care at CSC's location in Salisbury, according to the release.
