Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge (La.) is planning a $15 million cancer treatment center, according to an Advocate report.
Ochsner plans to spend $10 million to renovate an existing building and $5 million on a linear accelerator and other equipment. The center would occupy approximately 15,000 square feet of the existing building and would offer radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Oncologists' offices, other physicians' offices and the Stanocola Clinic will occupy the remainder of the building.
The center is scheduled to open in the second half of 2013.
