Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kan., is scheduled to open a cardiac catheterization lab on June 3, according to an Emporia Gazette report.
The lab will complement the hospital's expanded cardiology program, according to the report. Until the lab opens at Newman Regional, cardiac patients will be transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., as needed, according to the report.
