Tacoma, Wash.-based Franciscan Health System and Seattle Children's Neonatology have entered into a partnership to open a Level III neonatal intensive care unit at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Tacoma.
The five-bed unit will provide care for babies as young as 28 weeks. Neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners from Seattle Children’s Neonatology will staff the unit.
