Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., and Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and Florida Hospital in Orlando have partnered to conduct research on cancer and metabolic diseases, according to a news release.
The organizations formed the Personalized Medicine Partnership of Florida, which will create partnerships between Florida-based facilities involved in medical research and clinical care. PMP Florida is designed to foster collaboration and accelerate discoveries of treatments for cancer and diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
