Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Opens Specialty Center in New Jersey

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia announced the opening of the CHOP Specialty Care Center at Virtua in Voorhees, N.J.

The 31,000-square-foot facility, which is adjacent to the Virtua Voorhees Hospital in the new Virtua Health and Wellness Center, includes 50 exam rooms, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation services and injury prevention education, nutritional counseling, neonatology and large gymnasiums for physical and occupational therapy.

With the addition of this facility, CHOP will now offer cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopedics services at two locations in Voorhees. In addition, pulmonology, neurology, EEG, physical therapy and occupational therapy services will relocate to the new Virtua office from the existing site in Voorhees.

The new center expands CHOP's partnership with Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua, which was formed in February 2011 to enhance pediatric care.
