Tucson, Ariz.-based Carondelet Health Network announced its Heart & Vascular Institute will relocate from its current location in Tucson to the Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital campus in Tucson.
The relocation, in addition to investments in new technologies, will allow the heart and vascular program to expand.
The Heart & Vascular Institute is currently a standalone facility that includes an intensive care unit, an emergency department, catheterization suites, operating rooms and a pharmacy. Carondelet Health Network officials say moving the institute to an acute-care hospital with a range of medical specialties will enhance the program's quality of care.
The relocation is expected to take six to nine months.
