Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Van Andel Institute's cancer research program will move to a new location at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, also in Grand Rapids, according to a MLive Media Group report.
The relocation of the pediatric cancer research program lab and associated research consortium to the treatment site is expected improve the efficacy of the program.
The research program investigates cancer relapses and targeted chemotherapy techniques, and a recent $60,000 grant from Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation will allow the program to continue its research progress after the move.
