Walgreens Take Care Health Systems and Jacksonville, Fla.-based Memorial Health have agreed to collaborate in efforts to reduce emergency department visits and lower costs, according to a news release.
Walgreen's Take Care Clinics are professional walk-in healthcare centers in the company's drug stores. The collaboration will allow Memorial Health-affiliated physician practices to share information on these clinics for patients who cannot access care at Memorial Health due to time constraints or closed facilities. Similarly, providers at Take Care Clinics will educate patients on Memorial Health services.
