Recent survey findings suggest patient experience to be a top priority for hospitals, according to a Beryl Institute news release.
Although financial performance, safety and quality remain priorities, the Beryl Institute survey showed that improving patient experience is the one topic that consistently appeared as a top three priority across all survey respondents.
Yet, despite patient experience ranking high among priorities, survey data shows many organizations have yet to implement strategies or action to tackle the issue. More than one -third of surveyed hospitals said they were still in planning stages or determining hospital needs.
Hospitals looking to improve patient experience must act quickly. Research shows that it takes two years to achieve sustained improvement and positive results, according to a Beryl Institute official cited in the release.
