Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based Saint Francis Medical Center will be opening its new Heart Hospital and Cancer Institute next month, according to a Southeast Missourian news report.
The $84 million facility, which will reportedly finish ahead of schedule and under budget, will feature 208,000 square feet of new space. More than 200 of the hospital's existing employees will relocate to the facility and will be joined by 70 new employees, according to the news report.
The Heart Hospital features 60 private acute-care rooms, a 10-bed cardiac ICU, five cardiac catheterization labs and an electrodiagnostic lab. The Cancer Institute will house 35 chemotherapy treatment stations, four private rooms, robotic systems and imaging technology.
