West Orange, N.J.-based St. Barnabas Health Care System and Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health have entered into formal talks about a possible partnership between the two systems to improve healthcare delivery and reduce costs, according to a Star-Ledger report.
The partnership would result in shared services between the two systems, but no other details were released.
St. Barnabas operates Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center and Clara Maas Medical Center in Belleville, N.J., while Atlantic Health operates Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J.
