Mendota (Ill.) Community Hospital is on target to re-open this October after two years of construction to expand its original facility, according to a News Tribune news report.
The expansion project, which cost approximately $32.5 million, will bring the hospital's total space from 79,000 square feet to 106,000 square feet. The project was necessary in order to improve efficiencies and the location of the hospital's various departments, according to the news report.
