Hospital Employment Up Only Slightly in January

Employment at hospitals in the United States rose 0.02 percent in January, up 700 workers from December and 33,600 more than Jan. 2010 on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to an AHA News Now report.

Without seasonal adjustment for fluctuations due to seasonal events, hospital employment dropped 10,700 from December to January but rose by 34,500 compared to year-ago.
